Two white-tailed fawns born in 2019. Named for spring months.
An 8-point white-tailed buck spotted in 2020.
A spike white-tailed buck that was around for a little in 2020.
A white-tailed fawn born in 2022.
A spike white-tailed that started coming around in 2022.
Various white-tailed does. I have trouble telling them apart and keeping track as there are several that wander through the woods.
There are a few raccoons that have been around for years. One that I think has put on weight over the years that I refer to as Rocky. He's no longer a light heavyweight.
Clyde is another one of the masked bandits that lives in the woods. I think there is also a Clyde Jr.
Pascal appeared for first time in 2022. The porcupine is one of my favorite critters. He's named after Blaise Pascal, a truly special and unique man.
I only have one snippet of the elusive Jim, a northern flying squirrel. At first I thought he was a bat, but my friend Jim McGinniss pointed out the true identity, and hence the moniker.
Francis the Fox isn't really named for anything, and as you'll see there's a couple of foxes out there, but not always easy to tell apart.
Felix the Fisher (not a cat) appeared once to me in person during a snow storm in about 2005. He's pretty sneaky and since I've only seen him on the trail cams. Video Introducing Felix.
Solomon is a barred owl. Named for wise King Solomon. I hear him a lot more than I see him.
Bradley is a Cooper's Hawk. Just happened to get a clip of him feeding on something.
There is a murder of crows in the area, more than three, but I seldom see more than three at a time so I named them after the Pep Boys
Carl the coyote can make some noise, but pretty much keeps to himself.
Yuri is a red squirrel with a lot of energy who raids my feeders now and then.
This gray squirrel loves to eat and store food. Named after the hotdog eating champion. Joey is in the feeders way more than he needs to be!
A Lesson in Tenacity Video.
Virginia the opossum is great because she eats a lot of ticks. I named her Virginia as one thought is "opossum" comes from a Virginia Algonquian word being "white" + "small animal".
A lot of field mice are out there, but this one seemed curious and inventive, just like Milton Hershey. Both like chocolate.
These turkeys strut around more than just on New Year's day. Though their choreography is not as good.
Punch Drunk is a gray squirrel who seems to have had some troubles. He's missing some tail and has an unusual gait.

He's alright, nobody worry about Murray the groundhog. He's not a gopher!
I'm not thrilled about Spot being in the neighborhood, but I'm trying to keep an open mind.
Dash is a 4-pointer that showed up in the fall of 2022. He got his name from a video of him bounding away from the camera. Not sure what spooked him, but he dashed away.
This 6-pointer named for NBA great Bill Russell who wore number 6, but had 14,522 career points.
This young spike buck's second antler is a bit odd. I'm not sure what caused it. At first, from one angle, I thought I had found a unicorn. Despite the asymmetric configuration, he seems to run about and eat without a problem
