Stephen Kisacky enlisted on March 10, 1941. He was attached to an Engineering Regiment and was killed in action while crossing the Volturno River in Italy on October 13, 1943. He is buried in the American military cemetery near Rome, Italy.
He is also honored on a monument at the Slovak Lutheran Cemetery along with the three other church members lost in World War II: John Bystark, Michael Cermak, and Joseph Cermak. The monument was dedicated on Sunday November 2, 1947.
