William Broadley enlisted on June 8, 1941. He was killed in action during a glider-borne infantry action over Normandy on June 14, 1944. He is buried in Normandy. Broadley was survived by parents Mr. & Mrs. William Broadley of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Note: Since he was killed in the Normandy Invasion, some sources list date of death as June 6, 1944, but military records show the 14th.
