John (Jack) Irving enlisted in the Army Air Corps in July 1942. He was a navigator in a B-24 Liberator bomber. He was killed in a plane crash in England on February 4, 1945. He was survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. John Irving of Endicott. He graduated from St. Patrick's Academy and worked as a draftsman for IBM prior to going into the military. He was commissioned March 3, 1944. He is buried in Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Johnson City, New York.
