William Nabinger enlisted on September 23, 1942. He was a pilot of a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber (42-38213) with the 815th Bomber Squadron, 483rd Bomber Group, 15th Air Force. He was killed in action over Biechhammer, Germany on July 7, 1944 when the nose of his B-17 destroyed by flak and crashed with all lost. His squadron had been based in Amendola Airfield in Italy. He was survived by his parents Tracy and Anna Nabinger of Endicott.
